Right, well what a week. Woke up on Tuesday morning last with an inability to get out of bed. Inability I say, mainly due to the fact that I couldn't seem to stand up straight without falling over. Went to the doctor on Wednesday to find out that I had an ear infection. Wonderful. So I spent a week falling down and up stairs and watching tv. I couldn't get the computer screen stationary enough to really get down to writing but I didn't really care cause my tablets made me sleepy anyway.

My current contract is nearly up and I shall be departing the Dept of the Marine for the forseeable. I sent an email to them today to just remind them of the fact and got a "Yeah, sounds about right!" So no chance of getting it extended. Ah well! *sigh* They were nice to work with but I have a new contract lined up. Went for interview last Monday and got called back for a second interview. This was before I had issue with climbing stairs. That was for a permanent job. Tempting but there is VB.NET dev work involved so I'm not too sure about that. Had my second interview with them this morning and it went swimmingly! Yay! But I'm not sure I want the job. Odd isn't it? Anyway, went for another interview on Friday and this was for a contract job. Two hours later, they were more than willing to give the the job. Two months in the college... Not to be sneezed at.

And then there was P-Con III. Met up with nwhyte finally and not just omegar pointing out someones back as they wandered off through a door. Had some good conversations and a couple of laughs. Ended up bidding against him in the charity auction only to have someone else swoop in and wander off with the prize. *shakes fist* The guests were fantastic, lots of fun and easy to talk to, which is a plus. Theres a new con director now and well, I wish him well. Don't think I'm going to be involved with it in future years, but thats down to reasons I don't really want to get into on LJ. Anyway... good con, spent time with friends and had a couple of really good conversations. Did reasonably well at the table quiz so not too disappointed that we didn't win.

V for Vendetta tonight. Will probably post about that tonight or tomorrow when I get back...

*sigh* That was a couple of busy days. I can sleep now, right?
